What a beauty! The head turn is great. I took shots of one out my living room window a couple years ago. It went from sleeping to catching a squirrel in just a couple of minutes. Fastest thing I’d seen in a while! Congrats on a terrific action portrait.

Thank you, Ms. Smith. This specimen was stalking the Arctic Hare in the next photo, “Speed and Camouflage.” The fox had other distractions as he was also being stalked by a Polar Bear. He can easily out run the bear, but he cannot be complacent and risk being caught. The three animals—bear, fox and hare were captured separately and merged into a panorama “Food Chain” I posted here in NPN on Jan 7, 2020. Check it out for context.
