Aging

Aging summer and it seemed to me the one aging fern mirrored the aging stump even though they were surrounded by still vibrant ferns. Everything moves toward decay and disorder over time…even my body tells me so.

Entropy can indeed be a real bear.

The light here is pretty interesting, and it fits well with your aging theme, as it fades off to blackness in the background. The other nice small touch that I like here is how the color of the moss on the stump is teh same as teh one decaying fern frond. My only nitpick is the bright piece of wood along the edge in the LRC, I would crop or clone it away. But that’s a minor issue, overall this very nicely done, the use of light here is very powerful.

You got some beautiful details here.
Love the soft light.
Very well done Mario.

An ordered disorder Mario. The fern in the back create depth and movement escaping toward the upper left angle and the fern in the front is a good point of departure for the movement.
I love the photo Mario.

In my mind the ferns are cradling the stump, giving it some comfort as it decays. The composition feels just right to me. Well done.
