Hi David
I think your Goldfinch is agreeing with on the lighting, he look sad. He mayn’t like this photograph, but I think you did a very good job on the coloring and detail. I really like the head turned eye contact.

Very good, David. The exposure is right on and you got the perfect angle for harsh lighting with minimal shadow to worry about. You set yourself an extra tough task to do this now when they’re starting to look pretty scruffy. Some of ours are well into molting and really look bad.
