Anna with Monarda

Big difference between ISO 100 on the image that Keith did with multiflash and this image shot in the shade at ISO 4000. The flower is nice but I think it is distracting when the subject should be the bird instead of the flower.

Monarda does tend to dominate the scene, but your composition gives the hummingbird its fair share of attention in this image. I’m guessing that you tried cropping up above the leaves and didn’t like the result.

Gorgeous capture! I love the flower and the red-green-gray thing. Noise or any associated loss of dynamic range is not obvious to me.

I like seeing a Hummingbird feed on the great big red flower. Like Dennis I also looked a cropping this shot above the leaves and opening up the left hand side of the frame. Nice work.
