Nice to see you back with the Kingfishers again Dave. A great pose and perch and the slightly open beak is a nice bonus. In the largest version, there does appear to be some areas in the white neck band and breast band that don’t have any detail. They’re pretty small and you could probably bring in some texture from the surrounding areas if you wanted to.
He is beautiful, Dave. I like that he has his beak open just slightly.
Excellent light, color, perch, pose and BG. I like the water droplets.
What David Schoen said, David! You can see a little over exposure on the white feathers when you view the large version but the rest of the detail is excellent. Nice shot!
