Big City Nights

I think this is the right gallery…Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling in North America. It was inhabited from 1190 to 1260 and contained 150 rooms and 23 kivas and had a population of approximately 100 people. Here the ruin is illuminated as part of the National Park Service Centennial. Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado. This is a 5 vertical image stitch shot on my Canon 5DMII.

How special to be in position to catch a phenomena like this, Phillip. You’ve got a fine balance between the well lit structures of Cliff Palace and the surrounding walls.

Thanks for your comments, guys! Appreciated!

What a neat sight, Phillip. It’s a fun place to visit. The lighting against the earth toned sandstone gives off the pleasant aura of a huge campfire.
