South Coast Botanical Gardens
On our trip to California to visit son and family we spent the better part of a day at the South Coast Botanical Gardens. I saw a bunch of unfamiliar flowers that I’ll need some ID help with but one of the volunteers said this was a Crown of Thorns. The stem was pretty long and I would have liked to shoot it in portrait mode but the BG behind the lower stem was pretty messy and distracting so I only included enough to account for the name of the plant. All comments welcome. >=))>

A cool looking plant, Bill. I love the inclusion of the three different ages of flower clusters and the work of the spider underneath is awesome. I also really like the background. A first class image.
