The chicks fledged shortly after this shot was taken so I’ll have to wait on a second brood for any more chances like this. Cloned out edge of nest box on left.

Perfect timing, Allen. I think I like this shot the best, as it allows us to see and enjoy the colors on her back and wings better. That worm shows up nicely. Great shot.

I agree that the second shot with the wings down is the better shot. Beautiful detail. Having been lucky enough to photograph these birds, it is amazing how hard working they are. thank for sharing post.
