My flash would not go into the auto zoom mode after a couple of uses. I finally learned that the diffuser and the white bounce card have to be firmly pushed back in to the down position, you will hear a good click, for the auto zoom to work. Once the diffuse and card are pushed all the way in, put the flash in manual mode, spin the adjustment wheel past the widest zoom of your lens and the auto mode option will appear. I just wanted to pass this along just in case someone else has the same problem.
