You seem to capture these quiet peaceful woodland scenes so well and this one is no exception, Ben. The soft lighting is quite beautiful and inviting me to stop and enjoy this image before me while strolling through the woods. If I had one suggestion it would be to see if you can make the purple of the flowers a little more prominent. Very nicely done!
So beautiful, Ben! I’ve never seen heather in real life, but it looks so nice in the woods. I love your haiku too! I’m always thinking in haikus, I can’t stop myself!
I like how my eye is led through the image starting with the path from the lower right to the first tree on the right and then along the line of trees to the upper left. The red berries in the background are a nice compliment to heather to my eye. The contrast in light in the foreground with the darkness in the trees is nice as well.
