Gigantic Dahlia Closeup

This Dahlia was at about 14 inches across. I was able to fill the frame with the center of the flower to get a bit of an abstract feel to it.

Great colors and patterns. The image has a pleasent abstract feel. I like that you not have added any vignette to darken the corners.

A wonderful riot of color and shape! I love the placement of the center and the higher key tones toward the left, echoed in the tips of the larger petals in the UR.

Great whirls and swirls. The color is unusual, too; like sherbet. You have some great texture in there, too. Nice job.

Hi David,

A nice abstraction of a medley of petals. I like the placement of the flower’s center in the frame. Colors are perfect as well. Well done…Jim

Dancing petals forming patterns throughout the image. Lovely color and your choice of zooming in completes the scene. Wonderful image.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. It’s sincerely appreciated. I have one last Dahlia abstract to share for the season.
