A beautiful composition, Allen. It certainly picked a photogenic perch and you caught just the right pose. On my screen, the whites on the cheek and the breast plumes look a bit hot.

A very pleasing shot of the heron. The environment makes this work for a common pose. I don’t know what is out of the frame on the right, but I think I would have been tempted to leave a bit more room on the right. Still a great example of including the environment.

Nice work, in Conn. it is rare to get a clean shot of a Big Blue up in a tree. The front of the blue is a little hot, but the over look and frame are very nice.

Very nice environmental setting and good job on the detail. I like that level of focus. I’m fine with the composition although yes may be a little bit of more space on the right balance a little better. Good job!
