Hummingbird hitting cardinal flower (yes, more!)

Description:

I’ve been wanting a shot of the hummer feeding at the top of the flower and it finally has started to bloom on its crown. Took this image this morning. Taken in the field behind our house which has several wildflowers blooming. Not a set up. Natural light.

Here’s another image I took yesterday.

Both images are excellent, Allen. I really like the stretched neck in the second image.

Super! Love the little feet reaching out on the top one!

Amazingly wonderful, Allen. Both are just awesome, but if I had to choose just one, I’d pick the second image because it looks like he is about to do a swan dive right into the flower. Nicely done.

This works quite well for both position of bird and flower. Good saturation levels and detail.
