Ice covered branch

We had freezing rain all day yesterday on top of a couple inches of snow. Luckily it was mostly light rain so there aren’t icy roads and fallen trees. I thought I’d try a mix of high key (snow for a background) and minimalist in this 13 shot stack of an ice covered branch. In hindsight, I like the “cleanness”, but am not sure that it works overall. Mark, I don’t know how I missed commenting on this one. I like the shape of the limb, and how you have it coming down into the frame. The high key works well in my opinion. I too like the cleanness the image has, it keeps my attention on just the subject. Nice image of this iced limb.

Shirley, having looked at this further, my feeling is that while there may be some who would like it, it’s too simple and stark for my tastes. However, it’s always good to push personal boundaries.
