Iris With water Jewels

The Hoyt Arboretum is one of the few outdoor places open in the Portland area. A dry morning after a wet night adds water jewels to the flora.

Any comment are appreciated.

What a lovely flower, and I like the water drops on it much. It seems a bit dark on my monitor.

Excellent portrait, Don. The flower with its droplets is nice and sharp, and I like the way some of the leaves push out against the black ground. There are a few very bright spots which do take me eye a little too much from the patterns in the petal centres, but they’re not a big deal.

A beautiful rendition of this Iris, Don. The ring flash did a great job of isolating it against the background and helping bring out the water drops. Excellent work.
