Gorgeous, Sandy ! Lovely full-frame comp, but it’s the treatment of the whites I find so satisfying. The upper petals are pretty bright and soft but they somehow prepare the eyes for the gentler whites of the central petals and those nicely graded blues.
The tonal gradation in this is really interesting, Sandy. The colors create a bit of tension for me because I think of flowers as warm and inviting, but this close-in view reminds me of an ice cave. A very well done image.
Hi Sandy, I like your DOF choice with the soft oof petals on the outside of the frame with our eyes being drawn inward to the sharper elements. Colors are complimentary with the soft whites and blues above the more striking colors. Well done!
