Landing gear up

I photographed this Snowy landing in the marsh behind Rock Nick State Park on July 23 at 8:50 AM. I thought the air flow through the feathers was interesting.
Thank you for stopping by.

A great demonstration of the of the airflow and pressure distribution around a wing when a big bird like this is landing, Peter. Excellent detail in the whites and a very cool and different image.

Wonderful symmetry. And as Dennis said, different.

With this image, you prove that back shots cán be interesting - well seen ! Cheers, Hans

Hi
I would like to thank you all for the comments. It is not often you get to see that level of air flow through the feather of an Egret.

Classic south end of a northbound bird. He’s definitely into a stall with flaps down – nice capture and lovely whites!
