Light

It took me three years of waiting. Two days and about 400 frames to get a couple of frames where I wanted the lightning to virtually connect with some object on the ground which had light in it.
An image I always dreamt of , with a slice of mood to it…

I have, and I believe we all have, friends who believe that such shots are just a matter of luck. Just keep on snapping, and you will get what you want. While that may be true for a very small number of shots, we all know what it takes to capture a desired image. In this case, waiting for 3 years and then shooting almost 400 frames over 2 days (nights?) Excellent image and thanks for the explanation. It looks like you also got a reflection of the bolt in the windows of a building. Very nice.

Excellent lightning image, Balan. I like the relatively sparse cityscape beneath. It does create a bit of moodiness. For my taste, the bright light in the city is a bit of a distraction and I’d be tempted to remove it.
