Mother and Child Sea Otters

Sea Otters photographed from a boat in Alaskan waters

Specific Feedback Requested

I found the reflections of the water somewhat of a challenge and would like to see what folks think. The parent protecting the baby , especially with it tongue out is the interesting part - hence the tighter crop

Any observations, recommendations appreciated

It’s an endearing catch and I love the pup’s tongue. I see some image quality issues, though, and color noise. It would help if you could give specs for camera, lens and processing, including crop.

So sweet, Karl. I like the crop. Nicely done.

Interesting image and I like that hug!
Reflections are not bothering, but I would have preferred some more canvas on the RHS and like @Diane_Miller suggested, image is low on IQ.

I will re-do the entire image - btw , I do have the whole otter and thanks Jagdeep!

Noted and thanks - especially @Diane_Miller and @JRajput - the IQ - here is the whole image with less subtle processing ( I do get carried away with my new found processing  )

what a great & tender capture, Karl! I definitely prefer the second image with less exaggerated processing and the wider scene, showing all of the otters.
