I love the pose, perch and detail, David. It would be pretty easy adding a touch more top and right if you really wanted to, but I think this works.
Nice work David. The pose is perfect. We have a pair in the neighborhood and can hear them cooing in the morning. Great shot.

A nice pose and lovely BG. For me, it seems a bit dark – I wonder about bringing up the shadows, and maybe overall exposure just a bit.
A very pleasant image of a bird I usually ignore. The fill flash isn’t noticeable so great use of that.
Quick story. A couple of weeks ago I went to Oceanside, Oregon for a Minus Tide morning. On the way back I stopped by a McDonalds in Tillamook. I went through the drive through, got a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese biscuit (actually two) and then parked in the back parking lot to eat it while sitting in the back of my SUV. There was a Mourning Dove on the telephone/electric wires above me. He/she serenaded me the whole time. It was really a nice experience.
