I believe it’s a baby Lincoln Sparrow (since there were adult Lincoln Sparrows in the area). It looks like it has a personal umbrella

Gary, a neat look at this little guy with his fresh start in life. From the appearance of some of the feathers he is a recent entry into the world. The juxtaposition of the umbrella or canopy to the sparrow makes an interesting addition to the scene also…
Gary, the mix of bird and blooms makes for a big grin. It’s a delightful take on new life.
A very nice composition, Gary. The small bird and large plant make a fun juxtaposition. The tip of the fireweed seems to add just the right splash of color. You’re not this far along with spring this year are you?
A nice image with a little story attached, Gary ! You’ve caught the fledgling sparrow with its slightly unkempt feathers beautifully.
