This year began with some exceptional foggy mornings in Philadelphia, and it is ending in the same fashion. This is quite satisfying, since fog suits my favorite photographic genre: minimalist landscapes. This shot was taken at a park just outside the city limits. I was astonished at how different this familiar spot appears in these conditions. This otherwise ordinary fence seems to lead onward to someplace distant and mysterious.
