Pygmy Round-Eared Bat

I was fortunate to get some photo ops with a couple of what, for me, were new bat species during my Costa Rica tour in March. This pygmy round-eared bat was roosting inside an old termite nest found in a tree, so we were able to stand underneath and shoot straight up into its hole.

Love the diagonal placement, bokeh and the monochromatic feel of the frame!

It’s engaging and hilarious…that face and ears combo on the crescent moon . Contest winner.

I was struggling to “identify” what is the object, but when I saw it…perfect! I have to double what @JRajput and @stevenm wrote and also add, that I like the use of negative space. Superb shot!
