Sahalie Falls

The Santiam and the McKenzie Rivers are about to wrap up Autumn. If we get a breeze most of the broad leaf maples will be swept away. The vine maples turned first so they’re starting to lose their color.

If you’re going to get out for some Fall Colors, ya best do it soon.

This is Sahalie Falls. It’s just a short jaunt from the parking lot to this viewpoint, but you can continue your walk down river to view Koosah Falls as well. This is a great place to go if you’re mobility challenged.

Awesome photograph, Gary. I love how it looks like you’ve just stepped out of the rain-drenched forest, and stumbled onto this waterfall. I’m sure the mist is always there, hanging over the falls, but I really like it…adds a lot to the mood.
