Sheep Pass Highlands

This was a very cold February morning this year during a sunrise at Joshua Tree N.P. I thought I’d post this image as a follow up to a tough year for the entire world. No need to go into the depth of the issues and the all around despair, but hoping for the best next year for everyone.

Technical Details

Composite: Yes
This was a 3 vertical image PS stitched pano. The MF finished file was huge and provided a lot of detail. This large rock formation is a bit unique in it’s actual structure for JTNP. No doubt JTNP is known for it’s many rock outcroppings, but most have a look of smoother rounded boulder shapes. This area has fairly rough edged pieces overall.

Mamiya RB67 ProSD - Mamiya “C” 127mm - Velvia 50 (B&W Conversion in PS-NIK)

Great view of a heck of a pile of rock. The B&W choice works well, emphasizing the shapes and pattern of the stone. Best wishes to you for a fine and more optimistic 2021!

@Harley_Goldman, thanks as always for your comments. Yes, I’m sure 2021 will be a much better year on several fronts.
Here’s hoping you see a lot of photo keepers next year. Take care !
