I went over to some friend’s this morning to try for some shots of their birds from their deck and I liked this one I got of a White-crowned Sparrow taking a bath. D500, Nikon 2-500mm lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, tripod/gimbal head, 1/1600th, f/8.0, ISO 560, 700mm, AI Clear, cropped to 3570- x 2752

White-crowned Sparrows are world champion bathers, Dave. They get as enthusiastic about it as Robins and they can look so incredibly wet when they’re done. I like the action here and the scalloped edges of the bird bath add an interesting frame. I’m surprised the crown isn’t whiter this time of year.
