Wow, MIke, this is so good. It is so hard to know where to start. Obviously the shape. Is there anything that signifies life more than the spiral? And the way it seems to disappear into infinity. Marvellous depth. The colours are outstanding - the reds and greens compliment each other so beautifully. The leaves almost have the feel of feathers and this some kind of sacred head dress. And finally the whole chiaroscuro effect lends the image extraordinary richness. This is an image I could hang and look at endlessly.
