I’m often taken by little bits of plants that become stranded or caught on rocks in streams. This one was staying put, amazingly.

I really like the dreamy effect created by the ND filter and the tones in the image. I think I actually prefer it without the traveler. Excellent either way.
I agree with Michael’s assessment. Very ethereal but I think the plant detracts from the overall mood.
Thanks, @Michael_Lowe and @Eva_McDermott for your thoughts. I can see what you’re saying about the little stick, but it is sort of the point. It’s adding that bit of unease to the frame. But, perhaps that’s not working so well. Will think on it.
My vote is to keep the stick.
Really neat image, Bonnie! The rock looks like a profile of a bird’s head! I don’t mind the stick and I like your story to go with it. I think it works as long as there’s a reason for it…
