Dennis, It was just after we were allowed to enter this area following a large fire. Thanks for asking and for the critique.
The cause of all that smoke is very unfortunate, but it does make for a striking landscape image with unusual coloring! I really like the layers and especially the clarity and detail in the silhouetted branches. Nice capture, Jim!
Jim, the tree silhouettes set of the golden layers behind beautifully. This is a beauty.
Gary and Mark, Thank you for your comments. While the fire created some interesting places for photographs, it destroyed almost 200,000 acres of bird and animal habitat.
