Someone once told me these are called nurse logs…and so nurturing. Very soothing and a nice chapter of the story of the forest.

I really like the composition you’ve created with the multiple vertical above the predominant horizontals. The bluebells are that obvious here. I think this is mainly about the log and the saplings in back. You could very slightly raise the exposure to emphasize the joy of Spring which this story tells. I also feel that the log is a bit crowded on both ends. Some space on both sides would be great. The image is pretty chaotic but there is good structure which makes it all work very well in my opinion.

what a pleasant little scene to come upon in your journey. I like the vertical saplings in the BG contrasting against the horizontal log. All laying in a nice bed of bluebells.
