A well worn composition, but I love the detail of these violets.

In Shenk’s Ferry, PA.

I used my walkabout system - EM1/14-150 @f8, but I am pleased.

Added layer to darken and smooth the leaves.

There is nothing wrong with this composition, Chris, and Bill said classics work well for good reason. I like the arrangement of violets here, and I think you did a good job filling each of the four corners with something to fill space effectively. Frame edges are always tricky with these type of shots, but it is well handled here.

I like the combination of green and purple, and I really love how you processed the delicate purple tones in the violets. They are not easy to get right, but you nailed it.
