If you didn’t know exactly where to look for this guy, you’d miss him. The tree was about 20 feet off the road in Bosque Del Apache NWR.

Wonderful photo Keith. How in the world did you mange to even see him, he blends in so well. The detail in his feathers mimic the grain of the wood. Nicely done.
Most owls have such wonderful camouflage patterns and this is no exception, Keith. I like that you got it with the eyes closed-it really brings the point across.
