I posted a similar image at the end of March but this one has a different wing position and I cropped a little differently. Also taken on a Southern California reservoir.

A like the take off shot, David, with the water bridge and the primary “fingers” streched and at work. I am used to seeing more frame for the subject to fly into.
A really nice shot David. Excellent pose , sharp and I like the nice soft colors in the bird. I don’t mind the tight crop as it seems balanced with the splash on left side.
Very nice, David. I really like the splash and the composition works for me. Excellent detail in the bird.
I always love seeing photos of white pelicans. Image feels a touch dark, but the details are nice. I like that you kept the splash as a prominent part of the comp.

Love Pelicans. The splash on tack off, control of the whites and black and detail is vary nice.
Wonderful pose, action and detail, with perfect whites!
