I’ve been photographing pretty much all my life but only and the last 2 years have I gotten really serious about it. I’m retired now, and live up in the Sierra foothills where there’s quite a bit of local wildlife to seek out plus there are some nice national wildlife refuges not too far away. I mostly shoot birds but I will pretty much shoot anything that moves. I also maintain a backyard trail cam that occasionally gets some nice shots. It’s usually deer but sometimes a mt. lion, black bear, bobcat, gray fox, coyote, opossum, and even skunks. I’m fortunate to live near a lake that has pair of resident bald eagles that I never tire of shooting. My weapon is a Nikon D500 with a 2-500 telephoto, and a 1.4 TC. Great wildlife combo, IMHO. Life’s good!
