I’m always interested in reactions first, then graphics, comments on the image as a photograph. Make sure and click on the image to see the full size. I’m not sure why the smaller version is softer.

Is this a composite: Yes
The image is a simple tesselation with only two segments. It began as a cluster of flowers, cropped down the middle. The first half was saved and pasted onto a new canvas. The original was then flipped horizontally, copied and pasted onto the canvas, and aligned with the first 1/2.
The oval frame was created by pushing the vignette to the right (in Lightroom) as far as it would go, then pulling back to allow a little of the pattern show in the white areas.
Various other adjustments were made to give the final a more three-dimensional feel, trying to recreate the atmosphere of the display room.
