Technical Details

Canon 5D3, 180 mm macro, f/4, 1/200 sec, ISO 400. Attempts to focus on different adjacent areas – possibly handholding. Did a focus stack of the best 3. (I DO SO LOVE that I can now focus stack at 20 fps with control over the intervals. What will next year bring??) Any way, the primitive effort yielded 3 that combined reasonably well in Zerene Stacker. Only slight tweaks to Texture in LR and denoise and a crop for comp in PS.

It’s a beaut for sure no matter how you had to get it. I still am proud of shots I took with my old Olympus E300.

The colors are so soft are warm, they remind me of a giraffe’s hide in some ways. The light fall off works to keep that upper leaf prominent and the ridgeline does the same on the right. Water drops a nice bonus!
