Foggy trees

This was actually the first image I shot during the recent fog events in my area. I entered two of those images in the previous weekly challenge. The sun is to the right of the right side of the frame. The fog is just starting to lift and is backlit.

The fog and light really make this image, David, but the trees are the subject, so it works for the challenge. Beautiful.

The strong presence of trees on the left and right creates a good balance here, David. I also really like the touch of light on the mist above the water in the foreground and the nice warm color in the sky on the right.

David,

Such a serene and powerfully quiet scene. The warmth of the backlit fog is quite special.
