Iris in the rain

This morning there was a lovely (and rare for this time of year) very light rain. I headed for the neighbor’s dogwood and then stopped by my iris for the daily challenge.

That iris has really spread the drops in a great pattern. A slightly different shooting angle might have included the wing tip on the right. Such a complex shape that it’s a real stacking challenge, but you have most in focus - and the colour is gorgeous.

Thanks, @Mike_Friel! I had a narrow view of this one and the tight framing was due to intruding BG elements that were not attractive – although they will be from a different angle when they bloom!

I meant to comment on this before. Agree about the amazing droplets. So uniform. Stacking challenge met! Wow. What a beauty. If there hadn’t been junk on the right it would have been even better. Maybe in a few weeks mine will bloom.
