Locked In

A Coyote in my back yard. I stepped out of the back door with the camera when she showed up and caught her as she was making her decision to flee or not. She was definitely locked on to me and loaded like a compressed spring to launch at the slightest indication of aggression (you can see that in her stance).

Great intense look! Nice.

Hi Gary,

Looks good as presented. Nice capture…Jim

The intensity shows very well here, Gary. You’ve also got excellent details in her head and the snow in front, with the sprinkling of needles showing that the snow has been around for a few days.

Wow, a Coyote in your backyard! That is way too cool, and to add to that, you had your camera in hand. Great stare she gave you, Gary. A wonderful capture.

Gary: Love the stare and this is a really good looking critter in full winter coat. Nice capture of a fleeting moment. >=))>
