Description:

This was shot with my iPhone 13 Pro Max from the parking lot of a supermarket in Tarifa, Spain, earlier this year. This view is overlooking the straits of Gibralter, the ocean is visible middle left. I was there to shop and saw this scene from the car and naturally had to go snap some pics! The cloud formation was spectacular. If I was the developer there would be condos there!

Pertinent technical details or techniques:

ISO 160, f1.5, 1/50 s. Ran it through DxO (I always do) for any lens correction and some slight editing, no crop.

That may be one of the most picturesque views from a parking lot I’ve seen. There is an Instagram account called comp stomps and they post photography memes and a recurring theme is that all the best sunsets are from parking lots.

That is a truely dramatic sky, set off well by the bit of land at the bottom.
