Mossy Tree

I enjoy walking through the forests of Washington State because of the moss that
grows on the trees especially in the morning light as this picture was.

Hi Mike - nice to see such a rich green environment when it’s snowing out! In terms of DOF, I think you might have too much of that combined with too much scene. It’s got so much going on that I don’t know what to look at - what do you want me to focus on here? The light is lovely, but it’s all through the scene and not confined to just one area of the moss. Possibly a tighter crop could help in this respect. It also looks like you’ve changed the hue in the pure green channel to a cooler value and it shows up rather obviously in spots. Green is a difficult color to manage because it’s so intense most of the time. I really like the idea of this and hope you have more photos from your walk that show that terrific moss in a more singular way. Keep 'em coming!
