Pertinent technical details or techniques: iso 1600, 500 plus 1.4 extender, f8, 2000th, handheld from a moving boat, 60% of full frame. My avian contribution to the WC.

David, the spot lighting on the terns is amazing. The water surrounding them looks pretty choppy. Looks like a neat experience.

Very effective use of the long lens capturing these guys. I could see cropping a bit more off the bottom for some symmetry and making a little “tern sandwich.” If you’re so inclined, then you might also rotate ccw a tad. No biggie though is this a great capture and presentation.

Nice capture of this flock of Terns, David! I like the light on the birds. The large version is required viewing on this one as it has much more presence and detail.
