Weathered Wonders

Couldn’t resist one more example of Utah’s geologic features. These were seen in Red Canyon, just outside of Bryce National Park and actually just a short hike from the parking area. The tannish stone on top is a harder rock and serves as a protective cap to the underlying relatively softer rock.

Jim, I like the mix of red and white stone, set of well by the sparse bits of green and the scattered clouds in the blue sky. The shapes in the red are striking as well.
